- Fridays are always good
- During lunch some sophomores were reading Brave New World aloud to each other on the couch by my office (Charisse. Who else?) And I rested (napped??) on the floor for a few minutes while they read. Quite pleasant.
- Geometry projects showed loads of effort. And algebra projects were amazing. I like it when I smile, and I like it more when my students make me do it.
- Some of the projects teased me, and I tried really hard not to smile while I pretended to get angry. Who told Casey that it was okay to make me the star in The Little Mermaid? Probably Elizabeth, who, in her second marking period project, gave me the lead in Pocahantas.
- Transformations? I was worried that they hadn’t done enough graphing. But they are preparing their graphbooks, and they were mostly ok, with some really good ones.
- Transformations? I teased a senior and she laughed. Sometimes my teases seem mean, but I’m glad when they are taken as intended.
- Transformations? My juniors and seniors looked at my freshmen projects (see #3, above) and thought they were amazing. “You have to give this one 100!” – I heard half a dozen times. And they only looked at a few.
- Health finals! Hm. That doesn’t matter much to me. Last day of seminar! I think we are collectively glad it’s over.
- And after school some of us teachers spent some time with Ms. Barber. I’m going to miss her. But Friday was nice.
