Everyone is glad when school is over, even those of us who like it. It’s been a long year, and a break is welcome.
I’m excited for next year. I’ll be back to scheduling and teaching just 3 classes, not 5. So while I will still be cranky, I’ll have less of a good reason.
I’ll get to meet new freshmen, which is fun.
And the new sophomores – I’ll go from teaching all of you to probably teaching none of you! Which, if you’re happy about, don’t tell me… But we’ll still each other in school, and some of you will have me junior or senior year.
But, new seniors. What to say? Difficult. Loud. Not always performing at the – ahem – best of our abilities…? Just annoying? It’ll be a blast teaching some of you. You will be a great senior class.
